Install Kindling

Browser extension for private FIRO tips on X and forum.firo.org. Tips run through the live service at firotip.com.

Add Kindling from the Chrome Web Store

One listing works across Chromium browsers: Chrome, Microsoft Edge (Windows), and Brave. Open the store link inside the browser you use, then install.

Add to browser
  1. Chrome / Brave: open the store page → Add to Chrome → confirm.
  2. Edge (Windows): open the same store page in Edge → allow extensions from other stores if Edge asks → Add to Chrome (installs into Edge).
  3. Pin Kindling → popup → Sign in with X → fund → tip.
Firefox

Firefox (temporary add-on)

A Firefox Add-ons listing is coming later. Until then you can load Kindling as a temporary add-on (reinstall after Firefox restarts).

  1. Open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox.
  2. Click Load Temporary Add-on… and select Kindling’s manifest.json (from a Kindling release package).
  3. Open Kindling from the toolbar → Sign in with X.

Prefer Chrome for the simplest path: Chrome Web Store.

After install

  1. Confirm service status shows Tipping live.
  2. Fund your deposit address in the popup or on Account.
  3. Tip from a tweet or forum post. Default is hold for claim; you can choose Send to Spark Name when a Name matches the author’s handle.
  4. Recipients claim in Kindling or on Account. Then Withdraw to their own Campfire / Stack sm1… address.
  5. Unclaimed tips can be reclaimed by the tipper after 7 days (Account → Tips you sent).
  6. After a tip, you can optionally quote their post to notify them (amount stays private). @Firotip may ack under that quote once summoned.
Independent community tip service for Firo — not Firo Core. No private spend keys in the extension; spends run on the FiroTip tip service.

No extension? Recipients can still claim at firotip.com/account with Sign in with X or email. Forum claim in the browser needs Kindling.
