FiroTip

Privacy

How FiroTip and the Kindling browser extension handle your data when you tip or claim FIRO.

Last updated: 1 November 2026 · Independent community project — not Firo Core

Short version: We use your X or email identity so you can tip and claim. Tip amounts stay off public posts. We do not sell your data. Private spend keys never live in Kindling.

Why we use it

Where data is processed

Tip service and account data are processed on FiroTip infrastructure (including the Firo node used for Spark). Sign in with X uses Twitter/X OAuth. Email sign-in uses our mail provider to deliver one-time codes. Forum claims verify identity with Discourse on forum.firo.org.

Kindling (extension) storage

How long we keep it

Account and ledger records are kept while needed to operate deposits, open tips, claims, and reclaim. You can stop using the service anytime; contact us if you need help closing an account or clearing a session (Sign out in Kindling / Account clears the local session).

Third parties

Children

FiroTip is not directed at children. Do not use the service if you are not allowed to use crypto tipping services in your jurisdiction.
